The Deepening | A Somatic Journey Through Movement, Breath + Refection ~ September 19th
At Zaca Lake
A collaboration with RITUEL, PALMA Colectiva, and The Class
Arrival 11pm | Concludes 7pm
This is an immersive experience devoted to change that is lived in the body and carried into daily life. Held in collaboration with RITUEL, PALMA Colectiva, and The Class, this gathering guides participants through a coherent arc of personal evolution, moving from clarity, through embodied initiation, into grounded integration and continuation.
Set within the rare sanctuary of Zaca Lake, the experience unfolds on 320 acres of private land surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest. With a natural spring-fed lake at its center, ancient oaks, redwoods, open sky, and the quiet presence of the San Rafael wilderness, the land itself becomes part of the work. Spacious, secluded, and elemental, Zaca Lake offers a setting that supports deep listening, restoration, and embodied transformation.
At the heart of the experience is a powerful collaboration between three complementary modalities: movement, breathwork, and ritualized integration.
Jaycee Gossett of The Class will guide the embodied center of the day. Through breath, repetition, movement, music, and presence, The Class becomes a place to meet resistance, awaken resilience, and allow insight to move from concept into lived experience. What has been forming internally becomes tangible in the body.
Meredith Markworth-Pollack of PALMA Colectiva will facilitate breathwork through Carly Jo Carson’s The Mirror, a profoundly revelatory musical soundscape created to support deep healing, emotional release, and inner awakening. Held with Meredith’s intuitive presence and care, this breathwork journey opens space for self-witnessing, release, and renewal.
Eve Gaines of RITUEL will guide the inquiry and integration arc of the experience. Through guided journaling, threshold reflection, somatic awareness, and the Rituelize Journal, Eve will help participants gather what has been revealed and translate it into meaningful daily practice. The Ritualize Journal becomes both a vessel and a bridge, supporting the continuation of the experience beyond the gathering itself.
Many feel a quiet reorganization underway. A strengthening of inner authority. A maturation ready to shape outward life with greater integrity and resolve. This experience meets that moment with steadiness, creating space for distillation, recalibration, and embodied clarity.
Together, these three threads create a coherent passage: movement to awaken the body, breathwork to open deeper layers of healing, and ritualized reflection to root the experience into lived life.
Throughout the day, participants will be nourished with a beautiful seasonal lunch, and matcha bar provided by Ashu’s Matcha.
Accommodations, dinner + breakfast add-on: Nestled under a canopy of redwoods, a series of cabins line the north side of the lake. Every building has been meticulously restored to bring comfort and luxury to all guests. To reserve a cabin for the night please email the property directly at christine@zacalake.com.
