RITE de PASSAGE

There comes a moment when a life asks to be lived differently — with greater coherence, deeper truth, and an authority that arises from within.

Rites of passage exist for these moments. Drawing from cross-cultural lifecycle traditions, somatic awareness, ecological intelligence, and psycho-spiritual mentorship, this work offers a deliberate crossing where transition is met with structure, witnessing, and meaning, so that change strengthens rather than fragments the self.

The ancient world called this an initiation: an introduction into the mysteries of a new way of being. Each initiation is composed in response to the specific threshold you are navigating, woven from reflective dialogue, embodied practice, time in nature, and ceremonial integration, tended with depth and intention throughout.

THE PROCESS + CONTAINER

Every initiation moves through three ancient phases.

Severance — the honoring of what is being released. What has been lived, carried, and outgrown is named, witnessed, and respectfully laid down.

Liminality — the threshold itself. Fertile and often disorienting, this is the in-between: the space where the old self has dissolved and the new has not yet fully formed. It is here that the deepest work occurs, held within a container designed to make that uncertainty navigable.

Re-emergence — the conscious crossing into a new way of being. Not a return to who you were, but an integration of all that the passage has revealed, anchored in lived experience and marked with intention.

For deeper arcs, the work culminates in a ceremonial integration, a marking of the passage that seals the crossing and honors the becoming.

Sessions are typically 90 to 120 minutes, allowing the depth and pacing that life's threshold moments deserve. Check-ins between sessions support you in processing change.

Sessions may be held in person at the RITUEL Nature Refuge in the Santa Monica Mountains, remotely or as a hybrid of both.

OUR WORK TOGETHER

This is intimate, deliberate, and entirely your own. Each initiation is shaped by the particular threshold you are navigating and the life you are moving toward.

People often arrive when familiar ways of being no longer feel sufficient, when something within has quietly begun to ask for a different life. This work tends to resonate with those who find themselves:

  • Entering, completing, or transforming a significant relationship

  • Navigating midlife or another unmistakable life-stage crossing

  • Stepping into leadership or a deeper sense of vocation

  • Moving through grief, loss, or a profound shift in identity

  • Facing creative or professional reorientation

  • Sensing an inner turning toward a life of greater coherence and truth

To be witnessed in a passage — truly seen and held as you cross from one way of being into another — is among the rarest and most necessary of human experiences. Rather than crossing these thresholds alone, you are choosing to meet them consciously, with guidance, structure, and the presence of someone who understands the territory.

BEGIN WITH A CONVERSATION

Because these passages are deeply personal, the work begins with a conversation.
