The Art of Becoming

A Day of Ceremony, Nature, Movement & Renewal at Casa Sangha

Co-facilitated by Eve Gaines, founder of RITUEL, and Meredith Markworth-Pollack, founder of PALMA Colectiva, The Art of Becoming is a daylong gathering devoted to honoring beginnings, endings, transitions, and the liminal spaces that shape our lives.

Held at Casa Sangha, a magnificent sanctuary in Montecito, this experience is designed as a spacious and deeply nourishing passage ~ an invitation to pause, listen, release, receive, and reorient. Together, we will honor where we have been, what is asking to be completed, and what is beginning to emerge.

The day follows a ceremonial arc:

Opening: Closure

We begin by entering through the doorway of completion. Through guided reflection and shared ritual, participants will be invited to honor endings, acknowledge what has been lived, and create space for what is ready to be released.

Liminal Space

The middle of the day offers a threshold experience: time to soften, swim, eat, move, listen, and be held by the beauty of the land. Through nature-based practice, embodied movement, cacao, and sensory connection, we will inhabit the in-between ~ not rushing toward resolution, but allowing insight to arise through presence.

Closing: Opening

We complete the day by turning toward what is beginning. Through journaling, ceremony, and guided integration, participants will be invited to name the seeds of renewal, orient toward the next chapter, and leave with a deeper sense of alignment, coherence, and trust in their own unfolding.

The Art of Becoming is for anyone standing at a threshold ~ ending a chapter, beginning anew, navigating change, or longing for a beautiful and intentional space to listen more deeply to the nuances of their own life.
