Botanical Slip Dress ~ April 19th

$300.00

Begins 2pm | Concludes 6pm

Create a one-of-a-kind silk garment infused with botanical beauty.

Join us for an experience devoted to presence, craft, and the age-old alchemy of working with plants. This immersive retreat invites you to slow your pace and return to the living rhythms of the natural world.

Our day will begins in our medicine garden with some tranquil bowls of tea. A grounding ritual to reconnect with yourself and the natural world, and one another. This will allow us to attune the senses and open the field of creativity.

From there, under the guidance of textile artist Alisa Benfey, you will step into the meditative art of botanical steam dyeing. Harvesting directly from the garden, you’ll gather leaves and flowers whose pigments and patterns imprint themselves onto silk through heat and time.

Through this Japanese practice — rooted in mindfulness, sustainability, and craftsmanship — you will transform natural elements into a luminous slip dress to carry into the season ahead. Each piece emerges uniquely, shaped by plant, placement, and the subtle dialogue between hand and earth.

Throughout the afternoon, you will harvest herbs and flowers, infusing your garment with their living essence. You will engage in a process that is both contemplative and tactile, creating wearable art guided by tradition and informed by the present moment. There will be space to pause, to reflect, and to make within a serene and supportive setting that fosters genuine connection and inspiration.

Space is intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy of the experience.

We would be honored to share this day with you.
